Space Week 2023 πŸš€πŸͺπŸ›Έ

Lots of fun activities in the classrooms this week to celebrate Space Week! The senior room researched scientists and created some fantastic artwork based on artist Peter Thorpe’s rockets.

The Middle Room learned about the inner and outer planets of the solar system and investigated how craters were formed on the moon by throwing different objects into our moon surface (rice and flour). They then designed and painted their own bright and colourful planets. Finally we watched a video of NASA astronaut Jessica Meir answering children’s questions from the International Space Station!

The junior room were very busy creating painting friendly aliens and making more from play dough , cutting and colouring rockets and even constructing rockets from our big blocks! Well done to everyone πŸš€πŸͺπŸ›Έ
