Our Christmas play for 2019 was the nativity story of ‘ The Magical Christmas Jigsaw’. Everyone from Junior Infants to sixth class had a part to play and worked very hard for weeks rehearsing lines and songs and organising costumes. The senior & middle rooms made some wonderful props including the toy seller’s stall, Herod’s throne and shields for the Roman soldiers ! Thanks to everyone who came to support the children on the day. We hope everyone enjoyed the performance.
Sports Day took place on Thursday 13th June and great fun was had by all.
Active Schools Week 7th -
Robeen NS for visiting us for a sporting game of rounders and tug of war.
Sean and all the Lakeside Sports & Fitness Centre for facilitating our Aikido sessions. Pat Kennedy and Ballinrobe GAA Club for hosting the Div 4 Cumann na mBunscol competition.
Tim from Tourmakeady Handball Club for some fun sessions in the sun.
Emmett for a lovely end of the week golf lesson.
Ballinrobe Sports Hub for kindly providing water and refreshments for the children.
And of course the teachers and students, who enthusiastically took part in all the different activities throughout the week.
Well done to 5th & 6th class boys and girls who took part in 5 a side soccer blitz on Tuesday 26th March. Both teams did very well with the boys qualifying for the quarter final stages.

World Book Day
5th & 6th class celebrated World Book Day together. They dressed up as their favourite book character.
Its begining to look alot like Christmas in the Middle Room !!
The children have been busy with some lovely artwork for their classroom and had so much fun designing their own Christmas jumpers.

Maths Week 2018
We have had a very busy Maths Week in Cloonliffen NS. The children have enjoyed taking part in the ‘Puzzle of the Day’ competition each day, as well as activities like Maths board games, our Bettle Drive and using our maths eyes to create and complete a Maths trail around the school grounds. Well done to all our budding Mathematicians!!
