Congratulations to our boys and girls football teams who have both qualified for the Cumann Na mBunscol semi-finals. The girls put in a great performance to beat Meelickmore and the boys emerged victorious over Irishtown in a thrilling encounter that came right down to the last kick of the game ! Both teams will now play in the semi-finals on Wednesday May 23rd. Best of luck to all !!

Sincere thanks to Alma from Agrikids who visited the school on Wednesday May 16th to talk to the children about the different dangers they may face on the farm. She explained that for the 8th year running the farm was voted the most dangerous place of work in Ireland. We had some great discussions on the dangers associated with farm machinery , animals, poisons and chemicals  on the farm and the children promised to spread the farm safety rules in their homes and around the community.

Well done to Mr Ryder and the Green Team who were awarded the school's 3rd green flag at the Green Flag Awards Ceremony in Claremorris on Tuesday 15th May.  As part of their work on raising awareness of water conservation, they created a wonderful fish mural from recycled bottle tops brought in by the children.

Congratulations to all the children from 5th & 6th classes who presented their

The projects were full of interesting facts and information on the different countries of the EU and reflected all the hard work the senior room have put into participating in the Blue Star Programme this year. Well done to all involved.
